UTICA — “Go therefore and teach…exploring the Catholic faith,” a new education series sponsored by Historic Old St. John’s Church in Utica, will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the parish center on John St. next to the church, 240 Bleecker St., Utica. The event is open to the public.
The first session will be a presentation entitled, “Why Sainthood is unique to the Catholic Church.” This will be followed by an up-close look at the Utica area’s first canonized saint, Saint Marianne Cope.

Program facilitators will be Carol Fox, former administrator for the Utica Public School District and pastoral council member and Deborah Burke, pastoral council member and RCIA instructor. Refreshments will be served. For more information contact (315) 724-6159.
