Sixth grade faith formation students from St. Margaret’s in Mattydale collected items for gift bags they created for the homeless. The bags, which included snack foods, fruit, water and a warm pair of socks, will be distributed to those in need outside the Samaritan Center in Syracuse.
The service project was in accordance with Pope Francis’ request for Catholics to help others. The students have been studying and sharing the messages of Pope Francis during their faith formation classes this year.
