Join Father Richard Dellos and the Oblates of St. Benedict as they gather at 6 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21 in the apse of St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church, 702 Columbia St, Utica, to pray the Divine Office in union with monasteries throughout the world.
The Church has designated this date, which commemorates the Presentation of Mary in the Temple, as an opportunity to support the gift of the cloistered and monastic life. A simple, silent breakfast will follow, in the spirit of the monastic tradition. A DVD depicting the lives of the monks in Mount Savior Monastery (Elmira, NY) will be shown after breakfast.
