Rosary tops Assumption in ‘throwback’ basketball game

For one night only, in a gym full of exuberant fans, Most Holy Rosary and Assumption Catholic Academy once again faced off on the hardwoods.
Dubbed the “Holy War,” the throwback game was part of the Pathfinder Zebra Classic held at Onondaga Community College Jan. 16. Bishop Ludden’s and Christian Brothers Academy’s boys basketball teams donned jerseys recalling the Parochial League teams, with Ludden representing Rosary and CBA representing Assumption.
Alums and current students packed the bleachers for the exciting game, which saw Bishop Ludden/Most Holy Rosary best CBA/Assumption 67-58. Here, some scenes from the game.
